Pilates is a form of exercise that is suitable for everyone!
This method of exercise was created by Joseph Pilates! He created the theory of a perfect balance between the mind and body. The defining principles of Pilates are that of:
Concentration Breathing Centering Control Precision Flowing movements Isolation Routine
The Pilates method focuses on the core stabilising/strengthening muscles which are in use everyday although we might not be aware of it. Within the range of exercises the commitment is to alignment of the body incorporated with structured breathing to enhance the benefit of each exercise. Placing the body in optimum alignment is essential.
Working within our own ability without judgment, together we shall build strength, flexibility, lengthen our muscles and strengthen our core all the while standing tall! Toning the whole body.
